Ingredients

  • 1 carrot, diced
  • ½ onion, diced
  • 1-inch piece of ginger, peeled
  • 2 T. soy sauce

  • 1 tsp honey
  • ¼ c. rice vinegar
  • ¼ c. vegetable oil


Method

Combine all ingredients except for the oil in a blender and blend to a puree. Slowly pour in the oil, blending little by little to incorporate. This tangy, sweet dressing is a Japanese-American restaurant staple that packs even more veggies into your salad.

Tahini Lemon Sauce

Ingredients

  • ⅓ c. tahini
  • One lemon, juiced
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp MUKOOMI Hemp CBD Oil
  • ½ tsp sugar
  • 1 clove garlic, minced

Method

Combine ingredients in a bowl and stir until well combined. Thin out with whatever if required. Enjoy over a Middle Eastern-inspired salad with parsley, red onion, chickpeas, and bell peppers, or as a dip for falafel.

Tahini Lemon Sauce

Chimichurri (Argentinian Herb Vinaigrette)

Ingredients

  • 1 bunch parsley, chopped finely
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¼ c. olive oil
  • 1 tsp chilli flakes
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp dried oregano

Method

Combine all the ingredients together in a bowl and mix with a spoon. Chimichurri tastes best the next day when the flavours have a chance to mingle. This fresh green sauce is wonderful as a dressing for steak salad, and it livens up any grain bowl.

Gomae (Japanese Spinach Salad)

Ingredients

  • ¼ c. sesame seeds
  • 1 T. soy sauce

  • 1 tsp sugar

Method

Grind the sesame seeds in a mortar and pestle to a coarse paste, about five minutes. Then simply mix with the other ingredients, and your gomae dressing is ready. Traditionally, it’s served over steamed or blanched spinach at room temperature - but feel free to experiment and make it your own!

Avocado & Wasabi Dressing

Ingredients

  • 1 ripe avocado
  • ½ lemon, juiced
  • 1-2 drops of wasabi paste

  • Salt to taste
  • 2 T. water

Method

Blend all the ingredients together into a pourable consistency. If you like your dressing thicker add less water, or you can thin it out with some extra lemon juice. This creamy, zingy dressing is perfect with grilled chicken and cucumber, or egg salad.

Honey Mustard Vinaigrette

Ingredients

  • ¼ c. apple cider vinegar
  • 1 T. dijon mustard
  • 2 T. honey
  • ¼ c. olive oil
  • 1 tsp MUKOOMI Hemp CBD Oil
  • Salt to taste

Method

Combine ingredients in a bowl and whisk well until smooth. A simple honey mustard tastes great with beetroot, carrots, and cherry tomatoes. Add some salmon or white beans for a flavourful protein-packed meal.

Spicy Peanut Sauce

Ingredients

  • ¼ c. natural peanut butter
  • 1 T. brown sugar or palm sugar

  • 2 T. water
  • 1 tsp fish sauce
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • ½ tsp chilli flakes

Method

Blend all the ingredients together. If your peanut butter already has added sugar, adjust the recipe accordingly. Try this Thai-inspired peanut sauce drizzled over a tofu rice bowl with lots of veggies, or as an accompaniment to fresh sliced mangoes.

Fresh Citrus Vinaigrette

Ingredients

  • 1 orange, juiced
